![]() It has been responsive in the past and I don't think I've added any new wonky font lately. ![]() I have a Mac Pro with El Capitan, bazillions of RAM and four drives, and I can render effects in FCPX in half the time it takes the Word Font Menu to drop down. Is there a cache that I need to purge or something? I had heard that in Windows, Word will sometimes try to repeatedly access drives or servers that no longer exist and that these paths must be cleared manually, but I don't know if that is the same on the Mac or how to do that. What has happened? What is the issue? I don't appear to have any font conflicts or things that don't work, its just this super long delay. Despite the name Character Viewer, the Apple system tool will also insert characters into any program, including Office for Mac. Search for Rainbow and the Viewer should find the emoji you need. To add a rainbow effect to your text, first select the text you want to apply the effect to, then on the Font group of the Home tab, click the arrow next to the font color button. And it will be this slow every time I click on it, beach balling for 5 seconds before anything happens. On a Mac, to enter the Rainbow symbol: Command + Control + Spacebar shortcut to open the Character Viewer. This is despite the fact that I have long ago disabled the WYSIWYG option. ![]() Click on it and wait 5 seconds for it to drop down. Lately, however, the FONT MENU is ridiculously slow to respond. Yeah its old but it has always worked fine for me.
